Cornerstone Focuses on Sustainability

Mar 20, 2009

Cornerstone University’s Professional & Graduate Studies in partnership with the undergraduate division will offer “Faith, Sustainability and Business,” a conference to educate the business world about a growing concern for protecting the environment as it relates to business and faith.

“As a Christian institution of higher learning, we have a responsibility to be environmentally and socially responsible, which is largely what sustainability is about, according to Sandra Upton, dean of business programs. “Teaching our adult students to be knowledgeable and engaged leaders in this movement better positions them for significant influence in the global world of tomorrow."

The free half-day conference will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on April 3 in the Pirsig-Debryn Chapel at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. It will be facilitated by area experts representing areas of faith, education and business.

Registration is not required. For more information, contact Patti Townsend at 616. 222.1630. Click here for a conference brochure.
