Conceptually Integrated Program
Cornerstone University has a commitment to the integration of faith and learning. The MA in Education places great emphasis on issues relating to values, behavior and the Christian worldview. Students are encouraged to bring their beliefs and their faith with them to class. At the same time all students, regardless of their religious belief and/or denominational relationship who desire to study in a value-rich environment, are welcome at Cornerstone.
Differentiated Instruction
Cornerstone understands the need to prepare educators who are skilled in providing instruction to classrooms with a wide range of student ability and motivation. A theme which permeates all of our courses is the desire to provide strategies and techniques to educators who are faced with this reality.
National Teacher Certification
The graduate program is conceptually developed around the objectives established by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. These standards are complimentary to accepted best practice, state certification standards and many district standards that promote excellence in teaching. Upon completing the M.A. in Education program, the practitioner will have been involved in several areas required for successful completion of the National Teachers Certification. While Cornerstone cannot offer this certification, students are encouraged to consider it by working directly with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
