Associate of Science Requirements

  • A completed application accompanied by a $35 application fee (non-refundable).
  • Graduation from high school or successful completion of GED.
  • A minimum of two years of full-time work experience since high school. 
  • Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges.
  • A minimum of 20 semester hours of transferable, college-level credit from accredited colleges or universities for the Step II program.
  • Students whose primary language is not English must achieve a minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 from a paper-based test or 213 from a computer-based test.

Bachelor of Science Requirements

  • A completed application accompanied by a $35 application fee (non-refundable).
  • An official transcript from each previous college or university attended, CLEP and DANTES transcripts and a copy of DD214 or other official military transcripts, if applicable.
  • A minimum of 56 semester hours of transferable, college-level credit from accredited colleges or universities.
  • A minimum of two years of full-time work experience since high school.
  • Applicants whose primary language is not English must achieve a minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 from a paper-based test or 213 from a computer-based test.


Master Program Requirements

  • A completed application accompanied by a $40 application fee (non-refundable).
  • A baccalaureate degree from a U.S. regionally accredited institution with a grade point average of at least a 2.7 on a 4.0 scale in undergraduate coursework at the institution from which they received their baccalaureate degree. Students not meeting the 2.7 GPA requirements may submit a written request to the admissions committee for acceptance in the graduate program explaining why they believe they can succeed in a Master’s program.
  • Official transcripts from the college/university from which the student earned his/her Bachelor degree(s) as well as official transcripts from any prior graduate level coursework. Official transcripts from other institutions attended are required if courses from those institutions will be transferred to Cornerstone University to meet prerequisites for the Master’s program. Graduates from Cornerstone do not need to request transcripts for coursework taken at the University.
  • Students whose primary language is not English must achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 575 from a paper-based test or 231 from a computer-based test.
  • A professional resume providing information on the applicant's professional, academic and community achievements.

Additional requirements for MBA or MSM applicants:

  • Two letters of professional recommendation on forms provided. One letter must be from the applicant’s current employer – an individual with a supervisory or managerial relationship to the applicant – and one from an individual who can comment on the applicant’s academic ability.
  • A minimum of one year of continuous  work experience.

OR (for persons with less than one year fulltime work experience)

  • Two letters of recommendation (one from a current supervisor and one from a business faculty member who can comment on the applicant's academic ability)
  • A GPA of 3.0 in previous college work.
  • Professional resume demonstrating fulltime employment. 

Additional requirements for MA Ed. applicants:

  • Two letters of professional recommendation on forms provided. These forms should be completed by professional educators who are familiar with the applicant’s professional or academic achievements.
  • A minimum of one year of successful classroom teaching experience (not to include student teaching). Applicants not meeting the one year requirement must provide evidence of significant educational experiences with children which will be reviewed with the applicant during an interview with the Director of Education Programs.   
  •  A copy of a valid teacher’s certification document.
