Associate of Science Requirements

  • A completed application accompanied by a $35 application fee (non-refundable)
  • Graduation from high school or successful completion of GED
  • A minimum of two years of full-time work experience since high school
  • Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges, CLEP and DANTES transcripts and a copy of official military transcripts, if applicable 
  • A minimum of 20 semester hours of transferable, college-level credit from accredited colleges or universities for the Step II program
  • Applicants whose primary language is not English must achieve a minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 on the paper-based test, or 213 on the computer-based test, or 79-80 on the Internet-based test.
     

Bachelor of Science Requirements

  • A completed application accompanied by a $35 application fee (non-refundable)
  • An official transcript from each previous college or university attended, CLEP and DANTES transcripts and a copy of official military transcripts, if applicable
  • A minimum of 56 semester hours of transferable, college-level credit from accredited colleges or universities
  • A minimum of two years of full-time work experience since high school
  • Applicants whose primary language is not English must achieve a minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 on the paper-based test, or 213 on the computer-based test, or 79-80 on the Internet-based test.


Master's Program Requirements

  • A completed application accompanied by a $40 application fee (non-refundable)
  • An official transcript verifying a baccalaureate degree from a U.S. regionally accredited  college/university, or equivalent. Cornerstone University graduates need not request a Cornerstone University transcript. Official transcripts from other schools are required only if course work will be transferred to meet prerequisites or other program requirements. 
  • A minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale in undergraduate course work at the institution from which the baccalaureate degree was received. Students not meeting this requirement may submit a written request to the admissions committee for acceptance to the graduate program explaining why they believe they can succeed in a master’s program.
  • Applicants whose primary language is not English must achieve a minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 577 on the paper-based test, or 233 on the computer-based test, or 90-91 on the Internet-based test.
  • A professional resume providing information about the applicant's professional, academic and community achievements

Additional requirements for MBA or MSM applicants:

  • Two letters of professional recommendation on forms provided. These forms should be completed by persons qualified to judge the applicant's professional expertise, character and ability for graduate level study. One letter should be from the applicant’s current employer – an individual with a supervisory or managerial relationship to the applicant and one from an individual who can comment on the applicant’s academic ability.
  • A minimum of one year of continuous, full-time work experience*
  • All MBA applicants must submit an Admissions Essay

* Applicants with less than one year of full-time-work experience must provide the following:

  • A professional resume demonstrating current, full-time employment.
  • Two letters of recommendation on forms provided. These forms should be completed by persons qualified to judge the applicant's professional expertise, character and ability for graduate level study. One letter should be from the applicant’s current supervisor and one from a business faculty member  who can comment on the applicant’s academic ability.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate work at the institution from which the applicant's baccalaureate degree was received.

Additional requirements for M.A-.Ed. applicants:

  • Two letters of recommendation on forms provided. These forms should be completed by professional educators who are familiar with the applicant’s professional expertise, character and capacity for graduate level study.
  • A minimum of one year of successful classroom teaching experience (not to include student teaching). Applicants not meeting the one-year requirement must provide evidence of significant educational experience with children, which will be reviewed with the applicant during an interview with the Director of Education Programs.   
  •  A copy of a valid, current teacher’s certification document

TESOL applicants:

  •  A completed and signed application
  • A Baccalaureate Degree from a U.S. regionally accredited institution (or its equivalent) with a grade-point average and academic proficiency consistent with the expectation for graduate level course work
  • A 2.7 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale in undergraduate work
  • Official transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended(Cornerstone University graduates do not need to request transcripts for course work taken at Cornerstone.)
  • Two letters of recommendation; these letters must be completed by individuals who are familiar with the applicant’s professional or academic achievements.
  • A professional resume providing information on the applicant’s professional, academic and community achievements
  • Students whose primary language is not English must achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 575 (231 computer-based).
  • A maximum of six (6) master level (500 or higher course number) semester hours may be transferred in. For A course to be transferred in must have been completed within the last seven (7) years.
