MBA Admissions Essay
To assist us in the admissions process, please complete the Admissions Essay. Your response is an opportunity to articulate your thoughts and perspective in writing. While the Essay is not the sole determinant of acceptance into the MBA program, it will be used by the Admissions Committee to inform the final decision.
Instructions for Completing and Submitting the Essay:
1) Read the article “The Higher Plane of Leadership” published by the Leader to Leader Journal. The article can be accessed by clicking on the following link: http://www.leadertoleader.org/knowledgecenter/journal.aspx?ArticleID=665.
2) Write a brief essay discussing your perspective on the notion of servant leadership and its influence in today’s global marketplace.
- Essay should be substantive but not exceed 500 words.
- Essay should be double-spaced and no more than one page in length.
3) The following criteria will be used to evaluate the Essay:
- Thesis development/critical thinking
- Structure and Organization – structure, fluid and clear sentence and paragraph transitions
- Grammar and Mechanics – clarity through spelling, grammar and punctuation
4) The Essay must be emailed as an attached MS Word document to pgs@cornerstone.edu. Prospective MBA students have one week from the application date to submit their completed essay.
